BuTtErFlIeS! Great for birthday, shower and wedding

I love butterflies, who doesn't they are so gorgeous and fragile. They look amazing on cakes and cupcakes. Great for bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, and birthday cakes.

She loved this for her rehearsal dinner and it came out amazing this i used the left over butterflies from the cupcakes I made her for the cake tasting which was attended at my home by her, her future husband and the mother of both the bride and groom.

These butterflies are paper ones I found at the craft store and look so realistic it is amazing, they are delicate and come in many colors, I attach them to picks and then stick them where needed, I can also make them out of sugar paste to be edible just won't look as realistic. I was asked to make a wedding cake by client with butterflies in her color scheme and flowers, so for the tasting when she came to taste all my amazing home made batters I put together some cupcakes and used these paper style butterflies to show her them, she was in love=). Nothing like another happy client and especially a bride to be. A wedding cake is the most important of all the cakes I make cause they are for a couple's special day, a day they will never forget and I was nervous at first to make my first wedding cake, luckily it was an easy request just white fondant with red ribbon and red rose petals which came out gorgeous, was a little testing because she wanted re velvet cake and to cover red with white fondant is challenging you don't want the color to show through but I used buttercream and did a thick coat for the crumb coat and it was perfect.

Here is the amazing cake finished, the top is a foam ball covered in fondant so that I could have something sturdy to push the flowers into. She went with white butterflies so it wasn't to busy but I made her a cake for her dinner the night before the wedding with all her family using the colored ones I had bought. The bottom of the cake is a 3 layer red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, the covered with white marshmallow fondant, this is the part they cut for there photos and cause her wedding was turquoise and peach/light pink I went easy on the red coloring so the cake looked the same as the flowers on top, almost like a pink/peach velvet, from what she told me was gorgeous and delicious waiting for her proofs from the photographer wedding was New Years Eve=). I then did a yellow moist cake for second layer which is a 12" round, then a 8" round dark decadent chocolate one of my most popular next to red velvet flavors, this way her guests had a selection of flavors, on of the layers has buttercream marshmallow fondant and the other has white chocolate enriched marshmallow fondant. The silver cake stand is mine, purchased at Home Goods is part of a line called Opulent Treasures, I have cupcake stands, cake stand, dessert platters and matching candle holders, some silver, gold and a lot with tons of crystals, just dripping with bling. I rent these for $50 deposit and then you get $25 back upon return, some are a little more depending on how much the stand retailed for. Believe it or not but sometimes, especially at a wedding the stand can be very important it doesn't look very pretty to have a wedding cake sitting on a cake board even if it is silver and has flowers around it lol. I can't wait to see the professional pictures the photographer took, the florist did a great job adding that little something extra using the rose petals on the cake table. I know I would have loved this cake at my wedding and for under $600 it was a deal, a lot of cakes this size with this much detail believe it or not would cost $1,000 I make my cakes for as little as possible, I charge for the supplies and then the labor, this cake took me two days and many hours, lost a lot a sleep stressing cause wedding cakes really stress me out lol, I want them perfect. Also made a sheet cake of red velvet for the caterer to start slicing while the couple was cutting the cake so they could start passing out the plates right after then take the rest to the back and finish cutting, she had 200 guests and not a slice left over lol.
This was the photo she sent me originally that she had gotten of the internet, with the message I love this want different color butterflies, maybe white and cake to be tall, grand to serve 150-200 people and flowers on top please. My budget is $1200 and I would love to have you make my shower cake and rehearsal dinner cake also for out of town guests in similar style

Please keep in mind I can make ANYTHING, you like. If you have a favorite color, style or if you google and see a cake that you love online just copy it and email or text it to me and I can make it maybe even way better then the one you liked. Look at the sample she sent me, I think my version was way better and for way less, she was quoted $1000 for that cake for 150-200 guests I don't want to say exactly what I charged her cause I made her 3 cakes, a shower cake, cake for rehearsal dinner and the wedding cake so I didn't it as a package kind of but she paid 1200 for all three cakes and they were all gorgeous, I will post photo of the bridal shower cake, which her maid of honor picked the design. It was gorgeous a little hard to make lol, thank you Brenda but everyone loved it. Order you cake today by texting or calling Melissa at (954) 604-4713 or you can email me at DlitefulCreations@ymail.com or look me up on facebook www.facebook.com/dlitefulcreations and be sure to hit the like button while you are there I give away free stuff to every so many likes I pick #'s then who ever is that # to like my page gets the free gift. Also don't forget I do event/party planning, everything from the invitations to food, cakes, decor, centerpieces, linens, tables/chair rentals, inflatable rentals, cotton candy, sno cones, henna tattoos, glitter tattoos, candy stations, chocolate fountains, fondue, favors, piniatas, character rentals and clowns, then I do custom decorating, interior design, home staging, personal shopping, painting and all kinds of crafts. I love to make things and do diy projects all the time so there is no event, decor plan or craft I can't do and wouldn't love it in the process! My pricing is competitive and even usually a lot lower cause I understand with the economy people can not afford 300-1000 cakes, I make the cakes for the cost of supplies and most of the charge is labor cause these cakes are VERY time consuming to make even the simplest ones take hours of prepping, baking, and then decorating. I make everything from scratch and my fondant take an hour or more to make then must be refrigerated for days to be the perfect consistency for molding and working with. My cakes I usually bake the night before, then crumb coat and allow to sit over night then decorate as close to the event as possible so everything is fresh and Dliteful=)! I look forward to and hope to work with you soon on your Dliteful cake, event, party or home! Please be sure to tell all your friends about this blog and share my facebook link. I appreciate any and all advertising that is free lol.

Paige's cake

Inside of the bottom of cake, I made it tie dye neon rainbow, was moist and delicious! Everyone loved it and people at the casino were stopping to ask where I got the cake=) Was glad everyone liked it, cause I was so busy last week that I didn't have the time to make the cake the way I wanted then the heat from sitting out poolside kind of warped it and started to melt the fondant, not to self next outdoor party keep cake in the fridge lol.
The cake table with cupcakes, candy, erasers, party favors and plates
Paige requested those metal swirls with the crystals on her cake. Bottom layer was a 14" rainbow white cake, middle was a 10" vanilla cake and top is a 6" chocolate cake with hershey chocolate frosting.
Top view of the cake to show the stars I did on top to place the candles and the zebra rainbow design of the bottom layer. I was so happy with how everything matched and came together. Had m&m's, pixie sticks, chocolate covered rainbow sunflower seeds, candy buttons and chocolate cake pops along with the cake and cupcakes=).

More sweets from Paige's Birthday Party

The cake, and cupcakes before I decorated the table, having issues uploading all the photos.

Chocolate covered strawberries I made for the party but were eaten at the sleep over the night before lol=).

My final creative ideas have come together for "THE CAKE"

Still considering a layer of splatter neon but thinking rainbow with zebra

these are the icing colors I want for the cupcakes with black stars and multi colored guitars
this is what I want for top of cake but blue and purple with twisted blue and purple 12 and paige in purple on front side, solid hot pink or lime green.

Liked this cake these are the candles and how I will add them to cake board. Love the colors and topsy turvy design considering it but may just do simple round since making cupcakes and a lot of detail
inspiration for top of cake, love the color the stars and guitars but thinking 2

Guitars made for royal icing then set to dry on wax paper then can be used on cupcakes and as cake toppers, the royal icing hardens good and looks elegant still

And finally the cupcake inspiration pic, gonna do same maybe with neon icing if not the white with neon guitars, stars and may add P's or music notes. Can't wait to see photos of final product, a lot to do, make goody bags, prepare candies, popcorn, games, order balloons and wow this is gonna be awesome and lowest budget I have worked with in years, great now that I do all this. So excited!!!

Okay finally got the cake drawn out after hours of searching google and websites for iideas. One thing I can say my 12 year old knows what she likes and doesn't. Her requests multi layers, over the top, neon, zebra, and of course being at the Hard Rock and her love of music, guitars, stars and more music style stuff. Here are the cupcake toppers, only had white icing, she wants neon icing, cake will be rainbow inside and then top layer neon color with 2 guitars, a 12 and then her name on side of the top layer. bottom layer will be rainbow fondant with zebra stripes if we do 3 layers middle will be neon with stars. got some awesome silver cake toppers to hang stars from and some tall candles that are sparklers to put around the cake for her to blow out! Here are some pictures to get a visual and this weekend I will be making all the guitars and stars etc, then tuesday cupcakes, wed bake the cake thu decorate it so stay tuned for photos. I want to be a guest, the sleep over girls are getting amazing goody bags, mani, pedis and facials. Plus they get to keep everything, I made outfits, soffee zebra shorts with paint splatters and matching tanks, neon animal print socks. Who's party is this. I did it all on a very low budget, patience and lots of bargain hunting, I can't wait she is gonna love it along with her new room. Oh and an ipod touch from grandma, shhh! She doesn't know yet. lol.

You can signup for free to join the site and get email updates whenever I post new blog, photos or specials, with holidays coming I am going to have some great sweets, cakes and treats not to mention some great side dishes and finger foods for the holidays. Also working on a line of holiday candles, that are battery operated so there is no flame but looks realistic. Then I have my earrings, that are going to be amazing and a lot more styles and sizes to come, then I will have Christmas decorations tips, recipes and will be selling some stuff for decorating for the holidays so make sure you sign up as a friend for my blog so you can get updates. My cupcake holder from opulent treasures blinged out with crystals and my business logo animal print cupcake wraps.

Dliteful creations cake, made this last minute to display at this weekends event kind of like a celebration for the business for event and making it official with business cards and name. They match my company logo, colors and cards perfect.
Marshmallow kabobs for the candy station containers and yummy pumpkin lollipops
Another angle of my 2 tier cake, bottom is vanilla icing with zebra fondant, sugar sheet, pink shimmer and pearls, then second layer is hot pink fondant with dliteful creations written on front with some circles in black and hot pink then pearls, put black piping around layers. Topped it off with my signature cupcake from my business cards with zebra wrappers, hot pink trim, pink icing, cupcake is strawberry, so pink inside lol. I am going to put a heart on top tomorrow. Then I got the great cake display stand, not as flashy as the rest of my display stands. Simple can be just as elegant, then check out my great cupcake stands.

Witch hat cake, wanted to make bigger but couldn't find what I wanted for pans=(. It came out good for a display. Used buttercream flavored black fondant, then instead of fondant ribbon used a orange ribbon with Halloween print on it and a buckle. Has spiders crawling on it and top of hat has a bend to it to make look real, then I dusted with edible shimmer in green. I have a few ideas of how to make it bigger if anyone wants to order this I can cut 2 different cakes I have. It has a dowel rod inside to keep it all sturdy and is many layers of cake.

I displayed business card on the cake since they match so good. This was a last second make and it took me 20 minutes to decorate it. I was so pleased it is one of my favorites
Spider cake, large cupcake shaped cake, cake ball and chocolate frosting, chocolate sprinkles, wilton candy eyes and black licorice twizzlers. Came out so cute.
Top view of my dliteful cake, looks lighter pink from this angle but it is actually hot pink,
Here is the cake again I love it that much, so glad I decided to make it, then the booklet is my look book, frame to add photos of my previous work and business cards.

This is my kitchen after half the day of cooking not to add the brownies and candies in my fridge and cupboards. I will be selling these then have a tray of mini cupcakes for free samples while quantity last. I have cinnamon swirl, which is yellow cake and cinabon cinnamon mixed in the batter, delicious with cream cheese frosting, red velvet, yellow cake, chocolate and vanilla, there are a couple strawberry mixed in to for the dliteful colors everything else will be halloween colors.
My mini floral piece for table, wanted to show I can make centerpieces or accent floral pieces for parties and events. Every cake table, candy station or food table needs flowers. These are fake, going to add feathers if I have time

As you all know tomorrow night I have the Monster Ball event at Off the Hookah in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. I am so excited. Been working hard, between going to school, redecorating both the girls bedrooms and planning a party, making regular orders for cakes and working on getting a wedding cake order for Jan, I am beat lol. I am still working on the earrings, and on the search for beads and good feathers for the hair. The ones I got were not the greatest but I did use the up for crafts and in some kids hair. I will eventually get what I am looking for. I am working hard on this event tomorrow and a event I am planning coming up soon. I love making the floral centerpieces, and treats.. I am even having a small get together the night of Halloween for friends and family, fun night of food, drinks, tricks and treats, oh and costumes. Paige is a clown, very girly and not the typical clown and Paityn is a sailor, me I am a pin up sailor girl. Have an awesome black wig that really looks good people actually thought it was my real hair at the party I went to this passed weekend, but I did color in my blond eyebrows black, so that made it more convincing. OK let me wrap this up and get to bed, I have to ice dozens of cookies and cupcakes tomorrow then pack up all my decorations, displays holders, cakes, banner and candles. Don't know how I am going to carry all that. I can't wait to post the photos of my fully decorated treats and table, I got this awesome black lace table cover and a purple cloth for underneath, figured the lace would make the plastic dollar store purple cloth look better lol. Wish me luck and please don't forget to tell all your friends, coworkers and family about this blog and my facebook page. Last week my goal was to get 25 likes on my facebook, now my goal is 50, think last time I looked had 29. Last week I reached my goal and I thank all of you who shared the link and told your friends.
